History of the Estate Comte de Vogüé Estate

the story of Comte de Vogüé Estate

Domaine Comte de Vogüe

A passion for wine passed down through generations

Founded in 1766, theCount Georges de Vogüé Estateis one of the oldest properties in Burgundy. The family that owns the estate today already owned it before the Revolution. It was then passed down from generation to generation, perpetuating the family's know-how and passion.Count Georges de VogüéHe ran it with determination from 1925 until his death in 1987. Since then, his daughter, Elisabeth, Baroness de Ladoucette, has taken over the estate, assisted by her granddaughters. They have assembled an exceptional team to ensure a constant improvement in quality. Today,

  • Eric Bourgogne, head of cultivation,
  • Jean-Luc Pépin, Sales Manager
  • and François Millet, cellar master.

So it is together that they produce wines with passion.

The lands of Chambolle-Musigny

In the heart of the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus

Today, withGrands CrusAndPremier Crus, THEDomaine de Vogüécultivates 12 hectares of magnificent plots in Chambolle-Musigny. With 7.20 hectares of vines in Musigny Grand Cru, including 65 ares in Musigny Blanc, the estate owns three-quarters of the appellation.Musigny(10 hectares in total). On tasting, Musigny Grand Cru wines express more body than minerality. However, they still preserve the Chambolle style. Indeed, red Musigny has always been characterized by consistency, refinement, and longevity.

The estate also owns 2.70 hectares of Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru in the southeastern part of the estate, on a terroir of "red soils". And also parcels of "Les Amoureuses Premier Cru" covering 0.7 hectares.
