Gewurztraminer comes from an old grape variety known as Traminer Rose. This region is known for its great white wines, boasting rich and complex aromas. The "Vendanges Tardives" (Late Harvest) and "Sélection de Grains Nobles" (Noble Grapes) varieties, on the other hand, produce sweet to dessert wines. Renowned winemakers such as Marcel Deiss and Cavissima produce these wines.

René Muré Estate

Domaine René Muré is an essential reference in Alsace. Based in Rouffach , Véronique and Thomas Muré, brother and sister, cultivate various Pinot, Muscat and indigenous grape varieties using organic farming methods .

In Gewurztraminer , the Muré family offers several ranges.

Among the single-vineyard wines are the Gewurztraminer Côtes de Rouffach and Clos Saint Landelin , two dry white wines . The vines, 40 years old and older, allow the wines to express the unique character of the terroir.

The Gewurztraminer from Clos Saint Landelin is also available as a late harvest wine . It reveals itself to be more subtle, with a beautiful harmony between freshness, sweetness and structure.

There is also the Gewurztraminer Signature , a wine focused on showcasing the grape variety itself. It has a beautiful golden color, with aromas of exotic fruits that are echoed on the palate.

Finally, the Sélection de Grains Nobles comes from vines over 60 years old and can be aged for more than 20 years. This sweet wine has an amber color, and its nose evokes dried fruit and toasted brioche. On the palate, it is rich and powerful.
