Chapelle-Chambertin is a Grand Cru appellation in the Côte de Nuits . It comprises 5.5 hectares of vineyards in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin , in the Côte-d'Or department. It is an AOC for red wines produced from Pinot Noir , the king of grape varieties in Burgundy. It takes its name from a chapel, first built in the 12th century and then rebuilt in the 15th.

The vineyard is situated on clay-limestone soil and faces east. The wines boast an intense, dark color. Aromas of small red and black fruits, as well as spices, are present, with an elegant and opulent palate. A wine to be cellared for 10 years to fully appreciate!

    Trapet Père & Fils Estate

The Jean Trapet Père et Fils estate was founded in 1919 in Gevrey-Chambertin . Today, it comprises 15 hectares of vines and produces excellent wines, primarily reds. It has been farmed biodynamically for over twenty years. Every vintage is a success: Jean-Louis Trapet has established his estate at the highest level.

The Chapelle-Chambertin comes from a small plot of 60 ares, very close to Clos de Bèze . The oldest vines are 70 years old. The terroir of fine clay and limestone at the surface produces wines that are both rich and subtle, best enjoyed within 10 to 15 years.
