The familyAntinoriwine has been produced since 1385, that is, for over six hundred years. The antiquity of theAntinori familyis obviously an important part of their identity, but it never gets in the way of their innovative spirit. From the 1970s onwards, the Antinori family distinguished themselves once again by becoming the spearhead of the super-Tuscans, with Tignanello in 1971, followed by its older brother, Solaia, in 1978.
Even today, the propertiesAntinoriThe business remains family-run: Albiera Antinori works closely with her two sisters, Allegra and Alessia, to continue the Antinori family's century-old legacy. Their father, Marchese Piero Antinori, is honorary president, as is tradition.
On the lands of Tenuta Tignanello
A vineyard of great richness
With more than 9 domains inItaly, thereAntinori familyis present in Lombardy, Umbria, Apulia, and Piedmont. It also has vineyards in California, Chile, Romania, Hungary, and Malta. In total, the Antinori family owns more than 1,000 hectares of vineyards in Italy. The vineyard ofSolaia(one of the most renowned in Italy) stretches across the hills ofDomaine TignanelloThere, the days are hot and the nights cool. This characteristic of the vineyard allows the family to produce an exceptional wine: Solaia. The vines are planted in soils derived from Pliocene marine marl, with limestone and schist. The grape varieties cultivated at the heart of the vineyard are theSangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
Since the 1970s, the Tenuta Tignanello vineyard has been the subject of numerous experiments, including the introduction of new winemaking techniques. Innovations in vine density have resulted in more concentrated grapes, characterized by supple tannins.

Among the estate's flagship wines are...SolaiaThis vintage has been described by the international press as one of the most influential wines in Italian winemaking history. It is made from the vineyard's finest grapes. The quality of this vintage is also due to the meticulous and passionate work carried out by the entire team at the estate.
Visually, it displays a ruby red color with purplish highlights. On the nose, aromas of ripe red fruit emerge, along with notes of vanilla and smoke, creating a beautiful aromatic fusion. On the palate, the tannins are delicate, and the finish is long and clean.
