The Château Brane-Cantenac vineyard covers 75 hectares in the heart of the Margaux appellation. It rests on deep gravelly soils particularly well-suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, the estate's dominant grape variety. These well-drained soils impart finesse and structure to the wine, while sustainable farming practices allow for a faithful expression of the terroir. The vines, averaging 35 years old, are cultivated with meticulous care, guaranteeing grapes of the highest quality.

    Owner and history

For nearly a century, the Lurton family has lovingly tended Château Brane-Cantenac. Today, under the direction of Henri Lurton, the estate blends heritage and innovation with a commitment to sustainability. An agricultural engineer and oenologist, Henri is dedicated to environmentally responsible viticulture and the pursuit of excellence. Thanks to his vision, Brane-Cantenac has established itself as a leading Margaux estate, producing wines of exceptional consistency and rare refinement.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Brane-Cantenac meticulously respects the individual plots and grape varieties: each batch is vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The 2014 vintage benefited from 18 months of aging in French oak barrels, 60 to 70% of which were new.
This rigorous winemaking process allows the full aromatic complexity of the terroir to be expressed and ensures excellent aging potential for this precise, elegant and profoundly Margalaise cuvée.
