Owner and history

Located on the Marbuzet plateau, between Château Cos d'Estournel and Château Montrose, the terroir is characterized by a Günzian gravelly ridge with a clay-limestone subsoil. The vineyard is planted with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 30 years, with a planting density of 8,500 vines per hectare. Cultivation is carried out using traditional methods with minimal chemical intervention.

Vinification and aging

The grapes are harvested by hand. They are then vinified using traditional equipment, in temperature-controlled concrete or wooden vats with heat exchangers. The wine is aged for 18 months in 100% new oak barrels. Particular care is taken in selecting the barrels for each vintage.
