The Château Simone vineyard covers approximately twenty hectares planted on limestone slopes, sheltered by the Sainte-Victoire mountain. Some of the vines are over 50 years old and are cultivated according to sustainable farming practices. The soil, composed of hard limestone, sandstone, and scree, imparts a fine structure, natural freshness, and pronounced minerality to the wines. This unique terroir elevates each vintage of the estate.

    Owner and history

The Rougier family has been at the helm of Château Simone since the 19th century. Heirs to a savoir-faire passed down through generations, they work with passion to preserve the estate's identity. Jean-François Rougier, the current owner, champions precision viticulture that respects the environment and traditions. His uncompromising commitment has elevated Château Simone to the ranks of France's finest wineries, combining singularity, authenticity, and excellence in every bottle produced.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Simone follows a traditional approach with fermentation in wooden or concrete vats, depending on the plot. Each grape variety is vinified separately, preserving the identity of each.
The 2022 vintage is then aged in large oak casks and small barrels for nearly 24 months. This extended aging process refines the tannins, adds complexity to the aromas, and prepares the wine for harmonious aging, fully revealing the nobility of its terroir.
