Owner and history

Not far from its former "mother house," Léoville Las Cases, the Clos du Marquis vineyard stretches across 45 hectares of vines averaging 30 years old. The high-quality gravelly terroir is home to the king of grape varieties of the Left Bank, Cabernet Sauvignon (67%), as well as Merlot (32%) and Cabernet Franc (1%).

Vinification and aging

- Hand-harvested grapes
- Winemaking in large wooden, cement or stainless steel vats
- Aged for 20 months in oak barrels (25% new)
