    Owner and history

    The 20 hectares of vines that make up Clos Fourtet are unique in that they are actually surrounded by walls, giving this Bordeaux vineyard a touch of Burgundy. However, the typical Bordeaux grape varieties planted on the estate are: Merlot (90%), Cabernet Sauvignon (7%), and Cabernet Franc (3%).

    Fermentation of whole berry grapes in 25 small, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, extraction by manual punch-down, maceration for 22 to 30 days, malolactic fermentation in tanks and barrels
