The Domaine Benjamin Leroux vineyard extends across carefully selected plots, some of which are classified as Grand Cru. The soils, composed primarily of clay and limestone, impart a unique minerality to the wines. The Burgundian climate, with its temperature variations, promotes optimal grape ripening. Each plot is cultivated with care and respect for the environment, in order to preserve the specific character of each terroir.

Owner and history

Benjamin Leroux, the estate owner, is a passionate winemaker who has successfully combined tradition and innovation. After working at prestigious estates, he created his own to express his vision of wine. His commitment to quality and respect for the terroir is evident in every bottle. Benjamin is also a strong advocate for sustainable viticulture, constantly striving to improve his practices to preserve the richness of Burgundy.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Benjamin Leroux is a meticulous process. The grapes, harvested by hand, are carefully sorted before being destemmed. Fermentation takes place in open vats, allowing for a gentle extraction of aromas. Aging in oak barrels, some of which are new, lasts between 12 and 18 months, depending on the vintage. This process imparts aromatic complexity and tannic finesse to the wine, while respecting the integrity of the fruit.

The team's opinion

A structured and powerful Corton, supported by ample substance and aromatic depth that gains in complexity with aeration.
