The Domaine Faiveley vineyard extends across carefully selected plots, some of which are classified as Grand Cru. The clay-limestone soil, typical of the region, promotes optimal drainage, allowing the roots to penetrate deeply and express the full essence of the terroir. The continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters, contributes to the slow and balanced ripening of the grapes. Each plot is cultivated with meticulous care, respecting natural cycles to guarantee sustainable and high-quality production.

Owner and history

Domaine Faiveley is today run by the Faiveley family, who perpetuate a centuries-old winemaking tradition. The current owners, representing the seventh generation, have successfully combined heritage and innovation, introducing sustainable practices while preserving the identity of their wines. Their passion for wine and their commitment to excellence are reflected in every bottle. They continue to explore new horizons while respecting the Burgundy terroir, ensuring that each wine tells the story of its origin.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Faiveley is a meticulous art. After a carefully selected, hand-harvested grape harvest, the grapes undergo gentle pressing to preserve their integrity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, allowing precise temperature control to enhance aromatic expression. Aging in oak barrels, a variable proportion of which are new, lasts between 12 and 18 months. This process imparts complexity and richness to the wine while respecting the fruit. The blends are crafted with care to offer perfect balance and a unique signature to each vintage.
