Producer

The Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru vineyards stretch across well-exposed slopes, benefiting from a temperate continental climate. The soils, composed of marl and limestone, impart a unique minerality to the grapes. This appellation is renowned for its limited yields, thus promoting the concentration of aromas and the quality of the wines. The vines, several decades old, grow deep into the soil, allowing the roots to absorb the essential elements that shape the character of Chardonnay.

Owner and history

Today, Domaine Faiveley is run by the sixth generation of the family, with Erwan Faiveley at the helm. Under his leadership, the estate continues to thrive while respecting the traditions that have made it famous. Passionate about excellence, Erwan is committed to guiding the estate towards sustainable and environmentally conscious viticulture, while preserving the authenticity of the wines. The estate strives to achieve the perfect balance between innovation and tradition, thus guaranteeing wines of exceptional quality.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2024 is carried out with the utmost care. The hand-harvested grapes undergo gentle pressing to preserve the quality of the juice. Fermented in oak barrels, the wine benefits from aging on fine lees, which imparts a velvety texture and complex aromas. Malolactic fermentation is partially completed, adding roundness while maintaining freshness. This meticulous process, combined with extended aging, allows the richness of the terroir and the wine's unique personality to fully express themselves.
