The Domaine Joseph Faiveley vineyard is a true haven of biodiversity, situated on clay-limestone soils that give the wines their distinctive character. The vines, some several decades old, have their roots firmly planted in a terroir rich in minerals, fostering an authentic expression of the grape variety. The temperate and humid climate is ideally suited to viticulture, providing optimal conditions for grape ripening.

    Owner and history

Today, the estate is run by the Faiveley family, who perpetuate the legacy of excellence and passion for winemaking. The owners are committed to respecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices. Their vision is to produce wines that tell the story of the terroir and can be enjoyed over the years, reflecting a constant quest for quality and authenticity.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Joseph Faiveley is carried out in accordance with Burgundian traditions. The carefully selected grapes are destemmed before being fermented in wooden vats. Aging takes place in oak barrels, some of which are new, to bring complexity and roundness to the wine. This process allows the aromas to develop and ensures the tannins are well integrated, while preserving the freshness and character of the terroir.
