The vineyard of ChevalierMontrachet is situated on sunny slopes, benefiting from an exceptional microclimate. The soils, composed mainly of limestone and clay, impart a unique minerality to the grapes. The vines, several decades old, are deeply rooted, allowing for an authentic expression of the terroir. Grand Cru is the result of careful cultivation, where every detail counts to guarantee the quality of the grapes.

Owner and history

The trading house Louis Jadot The winery has been owned by the Kopf family since 1985 (three sisters). Thomas Seiter has been its president since 2022. Thibault Gagey, son of Pierre-Henry, has also been the managing director since 2022, and Frédéric Barnier is the technical director (who succeeded Jacques Lardière in 2010). Their passion for Burgundy and its terroir is reflected in every bottle, guaranteeing authentic and refined wines that delight wine lovers worldwide.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru The 2024 vintage follows traditional methods, respecting the integrity of the grapes. After careful hand-harvesting, the bunches are gently pressed to extract the juice. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, promoting the development of subtle aromas. Aging continues for several months, allowing the wine to develop its complexity and elegance. This meticulous process reflects the commitment of the Domaine Louis Jadot to produce exceptional wines.
