    Notes and pairings

    Tasting notes

The Domaine Pellé Morogues 2021 Rouge boasts a brilliant ruby robe with garnet highlights. The nose is precise, dominated by aromas of fresh red berries, such as redcurrant and raspberry, underscored by a floral touch. On the palate, the attack is supple, the texture silky, and the whole delicately acidic. The tannins are fine and the finish persistent, carried by a beautiful minerality that invites further tasting.

    Food & wine pairings

Perfect with roast poultry, herb-crusted filet mignon, or a plate of fresh and aged cheeses.

The Morogues vineyard, the cornerstone of Domaine Pellé, stretches across hills with Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils, similar to those of Chablis. These soils impart freshness and tension to the red wines. The vines, averaging 25 to 35 years old, are carefully cultivated using sustainable farming practices to preserve the expression of the terroir while promoting biodiversity. The continental climate ensures optimal grape ripeness while maintaining the wines' balance.

    Owner and history

Today managed by Paul-Henry Pellé, grandson of the founder, the estate embodies a modern and demanding vision of winemaking. Trained in Burgundy, he has brought new energy to the estate while respecting its roots. His meticulous work, his respect for the soil, and his commitment to sustainable agriculture are all factors that contribute to the consistency and finesse of Domaine Pellé's wines. A benchmark for lovers of authentic Loire wines.

    Vinification and aging

At Domaine Pellé, winemaking follows a gentle and minimally interventionist approach: the grapes are harvested manually, rigorously sorted, then vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit.
For the 2021 Morogues vintage, part of the aging process takes place in tanks, the other part in barrels that have held several wines, for a period of approximately 10 months. This delicate process highlights the ethereal and silky character of the Pinot Noir.

    The team's opinion

This 2021 Menetou-Salon Morogues offers superb freshness and rare delicacy, ideal for lovers of finely crafted Pinot Noir.
