This Premier Cru comes from 2.24 hectares spread across 3 climats: Pied d'Aloup (east-facing), Côte de Bréchain (facing west, vines planted in 1936) and Chapelot (South-facing). Aromas of poached pear, citrus, and shellfish are present. On the palate, it has a lovely volume that finishes with a dry finish. This vineyard produces more muscular and structured wines compared to other vineyards on the right bank of Chablis. It is a surprisingly powerful wine.
" The palate is well-balanced, quite powerful yet concentrated. The acidity is present and the finish is more flavorful than that of the Vaillon. Lingering spices on the finish. Recommended! " Neal Martin, Vinous. 91-93 points/100
