    Owner and history

Located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, the Chambolle-Musigny vineyard benefits from a unique terroir, characterized by limestone soils rich in marl and pebbles, offering excellent drainage. This subsoil imparts incomparable elegance and finesse to the wines, enhanced by the appellation's temperate microclimate. The vines of Domaine Joseph Drouhin, cultivated using biodynamic methods, are meticulously tended to reveal the full purity of Pinot Noir.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process is carried out with absolute precision to respect the identity of the vintage and the terroir. The grapes are meticulously sorted, then vinified in open stainless steel tanks, with gentle extraction to preserve the elegance of the fruit. Fermentation lasts approximately three weeks, followed by aging in oak barrels for 14 to 18 months, 20 to 30% of which are new. This subtle aging process adds structure and complexity without masking the wine's delicacy.
