The Larmandier-Bernier vineyard is a treasure trove of meticulously cultivated vines on the chalky soils typical of the Côte des Blancs. This unique terroir, combined with a temperate climate, allows for the production of exceptionally high-quality grapes. The vines, aged between 25 and 40 years, are cultivated using organic methods, promoting biodiversity and soil health. Each plot is carefully tended to express the richness and complexity of the terroir, with controlled yields to ensure the concentration of aromas.

    Owner and history

Pierre and Sophie Larmandier, owners of the estate, embody the spirit of innovation and tradition. Passionate about their craft, they have successfully developed the estate while preserving its core values. Their biodynamic approach reflects a deep respect for nature and the environment. By committing to producing characterful champagnes, they have made Larmandier-Bernier a leading name in the world of champagne. Each cuvée is an invitation to discover their vision of wine and their love for the terroir.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for Champagne Larmandier-Bernier is carried out with respect for tradition. After a manual harvest, the grapes are gently pressed to extract the juice. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, using indigenous yeasts, which promotes the expression of the terroir. Aging on fine lees for several months gives the wine a beautiful complexity. The blend is carefully crafted before aging in the bottle on its lees for up to several years. This traditional method ensures a fine and elegant effervescence, characteristic of the finest Champagnes.
