    Le Château Mouton Rothschild est bien plus qu'un simple domaine viticole ; c'est une légende de Bordeaux, marquée par une histoire familiale forte et un lien indissociable avec l'art. La Baronne Philippine de Rothschild, a modernisé le domaine jusqu'à son décès en 2014. Aujourd'hui, ses trois enfants — Camille Sereys de Rothschild, Philippe Sereys de Rothschild et Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild — dirigent ensemble la propriété.

    Owner and history

    Le Petit Mouton Rothschild, created in 1993, is the second wine of the château. So what is the difference between it and the First Growth? The vines of Merlot (20%), Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), and Cabernet Franc (10%) are simply younger. Planted on the same gravelly soils, the grapes are handled using the same techniques.

    La vinification du Le Petit Mouton 2019 bénéficie exactement du même soin, des mêmes infrastructures et de la même équipe technique que le Grand Vin. L'objectif est de créer un vin plus accessible dans sa jeunesse, tout en conservant la signature aristocratique du domaine.

    Contrairement au Grand Vin qui demande souvent 15 ans pour se livrer, le Petit Mouton 2019 commence déjà à être délicieux. Il sera à son sommet entre 2026 et 2040.
