Producer

The Podere Giodo vineyard is situated on clay-limestone soils, characteristic of the Montalcino region. These mineral-rich soils allow for excellent drainage and promote the concentration of aromas in the grapes. The climate, with its hot summers and cool winters, contributes to the optimal ripening of the Sangiovese grapes. The estate cultivates its vines with care, respecting natural cycles and promoting biodiversity. Each plot is meticulously tended to reflect the unique identity of this exceptional terroir.

Owner and history

The current owners of Podere Giodo, Marco and his family, are deeply attached to their terroir. With a handcrafted approach, they are committed to producing wines that tell the story of their region. Marco, passionate about winemaking since childhood, has successfully combined tradition and innovation to make Podere Giodo a benchmark estate in Montalcino. Their philosophy is based on respect for the environment and the pursuit of optimal quality, which is reflected in every vintage they produce.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for Brunello di Montalcino 2017 begins with a hand-harvesting, ensuring the quality of the grapes. After rigorous sorting, the grapes are destemmed and crushed before being placed in vats for alcoholic fermentation. This process, controlled at moderate temperatures, allows for the extraction of the delicate aromas of the Sangiovese grape. Aging takes place in oak barrels, where the wine develops its complexity and character. This meticulous attention to detail at each stage of winemaking results in a harmonious wine, ready to seduce even the most discerning palates.
