The Ruinart vineyards extend across the finest terroirs of Champagne, primarily on chalky soils that impart a unique minerality to the grapes. The region's continental climate, with cold winters and hot summers, promotes a slow and even ripening of the grapes. The meticulously tended vines benefit from optimal sun exposure, allowing the full aromatic potential of Chardonnay to be expressed. This harmony between soil, climate, and grape variety lies at the heart of Ruinart's identity.

    Owner and history

Currently, Maison Ruinart is owned by LVMH, a renowned luxury goods group, which has preserved the heritage and tradition of this prestigious estate. The current owners are committed to an eco-responsible approach, ensuring the sustainability of their winemaking practices. Their passion for excellence is reflected in a deep respect for the terroir and a constant desire for innovation, in order to promote Champagne expertise throughout the world.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Champagne is meticulous. The grapes are hand-harvested and then gently pressed to extract the juice. After alcoholic fermentation in tanks, a portion of the wine is aged in oak barrels, which adds complexity and roundness. The blends include 20 to 25% reserve wines from the two previous years, ensuring consistent quality. Aging on the lees lasts a minimum of three years before disgorgement and the addition of the dosage liqueur, resulting in a perfect balance between freshness and richness.
