The wines of Domaine Sérol
The expression of the different personalities of the Saint-Romain Gamay
The red wines undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 8 to 14 days. The different cuvées are then aged in cement tanks or truncated conical wooden vats for 6 to 11 months. The Côte Roannaise red wines aim to showcase the diverse characteristics of Gamay. Les Originelles is a well-rounded cuvée that perfectly represents the grape variety in its youth, as does Les Estinaudes, with its aromas of blackcurrant and raspberry.Granite Splintersis a more intense wine with aromas of red fruit and elegant tannins. The Oudan cuvée is dense and its aromas evoke ripe fruit. All the fruity notes of Gamay are found in this cuvée.The Millérandswhich also offers vanilla and spice aromas, just likeThe Partridgewhich is a wine with a spicy character. It is the pronounced and structured tannins of the Cuvée Troisgros that distinguish it from the other wines of Domaine Sérol. This wine has a beautiful length of aromas of ripe red and black fruits. The dry white wine produced atDomaine SérolMade from the Viognier grape, this wine is fresh with aromas of apricot, pineapple, and white flowers. It undergoes fermentation in tanks and is aged on its lees for six months. Finally, the estate produces three rosé wines: Cabochard is very fruity, Enjôleur is more lively with citrus notes, and Turbullent is a sparkling rosé that beautifully illustrates the finesse and fruitiness of its grape variety.
