The Jurançon appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) is located in southwestern France, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department. It is famous for its sweet and luscious white wines , made from local grape varieties: Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng, and Courbu. Jurançon wines are distinguished by their aromatic richness, complexity, and long finish.
The Jurançon vineyard covers approximately 1,000 hectares and is planted on clay-limestone and clay-siliceous slopes at an altitude of 200 to 400 meters. The climate is characterized by hot, dry summers and cool, wet autumns, which encourage the development of noble rot on the grapes, a natural phenomenon that contributes to the production of the appellation's sweet and luscious wines.

From intense freshness to balanced sweetness, the wines of the Jurançon AOC will captivate you with their dry to sweet white wines . The appellation's dry white wines are characterized by their aromatic freshness, with notes of citrus and exotic fruits. The sweet white wines of the Jurançon appellation are made from raisined grapes, meaning grapes that have been dried on the vine before harvesting to concentrate their aromas and sugars. The dessert wines, on the other hand, are obtained from grapes harvested late, when noble rot has reached its optimal stage of development.
Jurançon AOC wines pair perfectly with a wide variety of dishes, such as foie gras, blue cheeses, fruit-based desserts, as well as spicy and exotic dishes. They can be enjoyed young, for their freshness and vibrancy, or after several years of aging, to reveal their full complexity and aromatic richness.
