The Château Clerc Milon vineyard covers 55 hectares, with vines planted in clay-limestone soil, ideal for the flourishing of noble grape varieties. The vines, averaging 30 years old, are meticulously tended using sustainable viticultural practices, guaranteeing high-quality production. The oceanic climate of Pauillac, with its hot summers and mild winters, promotes optimal grape ripening, allowing the full aromatic and tannic potential of each grape variety to be expressed.

Owner and history

Today, Château Clerc Milon is owned by the Rothschild family, who acquired the estate in 1970. Under their stewardship, the estate has experienced a renaissance, with significant investments in modernizing the facilities and improving winemaking practices. The Rothschild family is committed to preserving the estate's heritage while emphasizing innovation and the pursuit of excellence. Their efforts have elevated Château Clerc Milon to the ranks of Pauillac's finest wines, producing wines that blend tradition and modernity.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Clerc Milon is carried out with meticulous attention to detail, each step carefully monitored. The hand-harvested grapes are destemmed before being fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for precise temperature management. The wine is then aged for 16 months in oak barrels, 40% of which are new. This aging period imparts structure and complexity to the wine, while subtly integrating oak aromas. Each vintage is then carefully blended to achieve perfect harmony before bottling.
