The Château de Beaucastel vineyard is a mosaic of plots cultivated on clay-limestone soils, typical of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This terroir, combined with a Mediterranean climate, promotes optimal grape ripening. The vines, averaging 50 years old, are meticulously tended to guarantee exceptional quality. The orientation of the plots and the diversity of grape varieties contribute to the complexity of the wines, allowing them to express the full richness of the terroir. This vineyard is the beating heart of the estate, where each bunch of grapes tells the story of ancestral know-how and a profound respect for nature.

Owner and history

Today, Château de Beaucastel is managed by the Perrin family, who carry on the legacy of Jacques Perrin, a pioneer of the appellation. Passionate about winemaking, the family has successfully combined tradition and innovation to make the estate a leading name in the region. Their commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible viticulture is central to their philosophy, allowing their wines to reflect the terroir in all its splendor. Thanks to their vision and expertise, Château de Beaucastel continues to produce wines of exceptional quality, celebrated by wine lovers and connoisseurs worldwide.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château de Beaucastel is a meticulous process, designed to preserve the integrity of the grapes and express the terroir. After a manual harvest, the grapes are destemmed, and a cold pre-fermentation maceration is carried out to extract the aromas. Fermentation takes place in wooden and concrete vats, followed by aging that can last up to 18 months in oak barrels, allowing the wine to develop its complexity. This care at each stage of winemaking guarantees a harmonious balance between power and finesse, a true tribute to Jacques Perrin.
