The Château Lynch Bages vineyard stretches across clay-limestone soils, typical of the Pauillac appellation. The vines, some several decades old, are cultivated with meticulous care to guarantee the quality of the grapes. The region's microclimate, influenced by the Gironde estuary, promotes optimal ripening of the berries, resulting in rich and concentrated aromas. The diversity of the plots also contributes to the complexity of the wines, each cuvée reflecting a specific terroir.

    Owner and history

Today, Château Lynch-Bages is managed by the Cazes family, who have successfully preserved the legacy of this great estate. Under their guidance, the estate has modernized while respecting winemaking traditions. Their commitment to quality and innovation is reflected in every bottle, making Lynch-Bages an essential ambassador for the Pauillac appellation. The Cazes family is also dedicated to promoting the terroir and sustainable viticultural practices, ensuring that future generations can appreciate this viticultural treasure.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Lynch-Bages is carried out with meticulous attention to detail. The grapes are carefully sorted before being destemmed and crushed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for precise temperature management. After fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels, a percentage of which are new, for 16 to 18 months. This aging process imparts subtle woody notes while preserving the integrity of the fruit. The final blend is the result of a rigorous selection, aiming to express the typicity of the Pauillac terroir.
