    Tasting notes

This wine boasts a deep, almost ruby-red color. On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe black fruit, licorice, and a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is full and velvety, with silky tannins and a lovely acidity. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a lingering impression of candied fruit and delicate spices.

The vineyards of Château Talbot stretch across gravelly soil, ideal for vine cultivation, allowing for optimal drainage and ample sun exposure. The region's oceanic climate, with mild winters and sunny summers, contributes to the slow and even ripening of the grapes. The vines, averaging 30 years old, are cultivated using environmentally friendly methods that promote biodiversity and soil health. This approach allows the full richness and typicity of the Saint-Julien appellation to be expressed.

    Owner and history

Today, Château Talbot is managed by the Cordier family, who have preserved the estate's heritage and reputation while adapting it to contemporary challenges. Their commitment to sustainable viticulture and their passion for wine are evident in every bottle. The Cordier family is dedicated to respecting the terroir and producing wines that tell the story of their soil and climate. Thanks to their vision, Talbot continues to shine on the international stage of fine wines.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process at Château Talbot is carried out with meticulous care. The carefully selected grapes are destemmed before being fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, approximately one-third of which are new, for 12 to 18 months, depending on the vintage. This aging period allows the wine to develop its aromatic complexity while integrating the tannins from the wood. The blends are crafted with precision, aiming to create a harmonious wine that reflects the estate's identity.
