    Tasting notes

The 2023 Grand Maupertui from Domaine Anne Gros reveals a brilliant garnet-red color with deep highlights. Its nose is subtle yet intense, marked by aromas of black cherry, truffle, and precious wood. On the palate, the texture is dense, the tannins are fine, and the balance remarkable. The long, flavorful finish highlights the complexity of the Vougeot terroir. A great wine for aging, all elegance and structure.

    Food & wine pairings

This Grand Cru pairs beautifully with a beef fillet in a crust, a roast veal chop or a hare à la royale.

Le Grand Maupertui comes from a plot located in the southern part of Clos Vougeot, renowned for its deep, clay-limestone soil, rich in marl and pebbles. The Domaine Anne Gros vineyard is cultivated with care, using sustainable practices aimed at preserving the vitality of the soils. The age of the vines, combined with this prestigious terroir, gives the wine remarkable depth and a true expression of the place.

    Owner and history

Located in the heart of Burgundy, in Vosne-Romanée, Domaine Anne Gros embodies the winemaking excellence of the Côte de Nuits. Heir to a line of passionate winemakers, Anne Gros has breathed new life into this family estate, combining respect for the terroir with contemporary precision. Her respectful approach to the terroir, coupled with meticulous work in the cellar, gives rise to wines sought after for their purity, finesse, and authenticity.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Anne Gros is traditional and precise: manual harvesting, partial destemming, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and gentle maceration.
The 2023 Grand Maupertui is aged in French oak barrels, approximately 80% of which are new, for 16 to 18 months. This meticulous process reveals the aromatic richness of the Pinot Noir while ensuring a harmonious structure and excellent aging potential.
