    Owner and history

The Lavaux St Jacques vineyard is one of the most prestigious Premier Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin. Located on exceptional terroir, it benefits from ideal exposure and a soil composed of clay-limestone marl, guaranteeing optimal ripening of the Pinot Noir grapes. This terroir imparts remarkable richness and structure to the wine, while preserving a freshness characteristic of great Burgundy wines. Thanks to meticulous vineyard work, each vintage authentically expresses the unique identity of this Premier Cru.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking for this Premier Cru is carried out according to Burgundian traditions. After hand-harvesting, the grapes are meticulously sorted and then vinified in wooden vats to gently extract aromas and tannic structure. Aging takes place in French oak barrels (approximately 40% new) for 12 to 18 months, imparting complexity and elegance to the wine without masking the terroir's identity.
