    The 2023 Clos des Forêts Saint Georges reveals a deep purple robe with violet highlights. The nose opens with intense aromas of black fruit, pepper, and fine wood.     Clos des Forêts Saint Georges covers 7.2 hectares in a single block, resting on clay-limestone soils typical of the Côte de Nuits. Planted exclusively with Pinot Noir, this monopole parcel is one of the largest and most homogeneous Premier Cru vineyards. The vines are cultivated according to organic farming principles, with rigorous soil management and controlled cover cropping, guaranteeing a pure and precise expression of the terroir.

    Since 2014, Domaine de l'Arlot has belonged to AXA Millésimes, already the owner of prestigious estates in Bordeaux and Portugal. Under the direction of Géraldine Godot, a talented and dedicated oenologist, the estate pursues a quest for excellence that respects the terroir. Thanks to a philosophy combining tradition and precision, the wines gain in brilliance and personality, consolidating the estate's reputation among the greatest names of the Côte de Nuits.

    Vinification and aging

    Domaine de l'Arlot practices plot-by-plot vinification with indigenous yeasts, without the use of oenological additives. Fermentation takes place in truncated conical wooden vats, followed by aging for 14 to 18 months in oak barrels, approximately 30% of which are new.
    For the 2023 vintage of Clos des Forêts Saint Georges, the aging process aims to enhance the natural intensity of the wine while preserving its freshness and mineral structure.
