    Owner and history

The vines destined for Joseph Drouhin's 2020 Chambolle-Musigny flourish in clay-limestone soils particularly well-suited to the expression of Pinot Noir. Located on the Côte de Nuits, this terroir benefits from a temperate continental climate, with sunny days and cool nights, promoting slow and optimal ripening of the grapes. The excellence of this terroir imparts to the wine its subtle minerality and incredible aromatic finesse.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Joseph Drouhin is carried out with the utmost respect for the grapes. The harvest is done by hand, with meticulous sorting of the berries to retain only the highest quality. Fermentation takes place in open vats, with gentle tannin extraction, guaranteeing a wine of great elegance. Aging then occurs in French oak barrels (20% new) for 14 to 18 months, imparting complexity and finesse without masking the fruit.
