The Zuccardi Paraje Altamira vineyard is located at an altitude of 1,100 meters in the Valle de Uco, where the vines benefit from a cool, sunny climate. The soils are stony and rich in limestone deposits, giving the wine its distinctive minerality. The deeply rooted vines produce concentrated berries, allowing for the creation of a Malbec that is powerful, precise, and elegant, true to the unique identity of the Altamira terroir.

    Owner and history

The Zuccardi family, now led by Sebastián Zuccardi, represents the third generation of passionate winemakers in Mendoza. A visionary, Sebastián has placed the terroir at the heart of his philosophy, striving to produce wines that faithfully reflect their origin rather than the hand of man. His commitment to sustainable and organic viticulture has elevated Zuccardi to one of Argentina's finest estates, renowned worldwide for the precision and authenticity of its wines.

    Vinification and aging

At Domaine Zuccardi, winemaking relies on respectful methods, with spontaneous fermentations in concrete tanks, without the addition of artificial yeasts, to preserve the natural expression of the terroir. Aging favors the use of concrete tanks and large-volume wooden casks, so as not to mask the purity of the fruit.
The Paraje Altamira 2018 vintage was aged for approximately 12 months in these containers, which gives it a silky texture, a beautiful aromatic depth and a persistent finish.

    The team's opinion

This wine impresses with its depth and intensity, offering a true immersion in the elegance and unique energy of the great Malbecs of Altamira.
