The Château Brown vineyard rests on clay-limestone soils, ideal for growing Bordeaux grape varieties. The vines, averaging over 30 years old, benefit from a temperate oceanic climate, characterized by hot summers and mild winters. This optimal exposure allows for slow and even ripening of the grapes, thus promoting the expression of aromas and the complexity of the wines. Environmentally friendly cultivation practices guarantee the health of the vines and the quality of the grapes, which are harvested by hand to ensure rigorous selection.

    Owner and history

Currently, Château Brown is managed by the family of Jean-Bernard and Christine de Bréban, who have breathed new life into the estate. Passionate about the art of winemaking, they have invested in modern techniques while preserving traditional know-how. Their commitment to quality and respect for the environment is reflected in every bottle produced. Thanks to their vision and dedication, Château Brown continues to make a name for itself among the great wines of Bordeaux, captivating wine lovers worldwide.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Brown is a meticulous process, blending tradition and modernity. The carefully sorted grapes are vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for optimal temperature control during fermentation. Each grape variety is vinified separately to preserve its unique character. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for 12 to 14 months. This aging period imparts aromatic complexity and a refined tannic structure to the wine, while respecting the identity of the terroir.
