    Owner and history

The Château Cantemerle vineyard covers 98 hectares. On average, the vines are 40 years old. The grape varieties planted are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The vines are planted in a siliceous-gravelly soil very typical of the Haut-Médoc.

    Vinification and aging

Vinification and aging take place in wooden, stainless steel, and cement vats. Aging lasts for 12 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new.
