Owner and history

The vineyards of Château Cheval Blanc stretch across a mosaic of terroirs. It was one of the first châteaux to choose Merlot as its principal grape variety. The vines are on average 40 years old and planted in a single block. The vineyards cover 39 hectares, with a layout virtually unchanged since 1871!
