    Owner and history

    17.6 hectares in production on a 22-hectare estate. The grape varieties planted at Fonroque are 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc; the proportion of Cabernet Franc is expected to increase due to numerous new plantings. Three to four soil types are present: limestone soils on the plateau, clay-limestone on the slopes and at the foot of the hills, and more clayey soils with silt and sand.

    Vinification and aging

    In 2005, the vineyard was converted to organic and then to biodynamic farming. A new winery is currently under construction.
