Tasting notes
The 2021 Saumur Champigny Les Poyeux is distinguished by its deep ruby color with purplish highlights. The nose opens with notes of fresh red fruit and violet, underscored by a touch of smoke and minerality. On the palate, the attack is supple, the texture silky, and the whole reveals a lovely freshness balanced by a fine structure. The finish is long, flavorful, and carried by a persistent minerality, characteristic of the limestone terroir of Les Poyeux.
