Tasting notes
The wine is a deep, almost opaque ruby color. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, dried rose, and spicy notes. On the palate, the texture is velvety, with silky tannins and a lovely acidity that balances the fruit. The finish is long, marked by hints of tobacco and licorice, offering a delicate aromatic persistence.

The Pio Cesare vineyard stretches across sun-drenched hills, where the Nebbiolo grapes thrive. The soil, rich in limestone and clay, imparts a unique minerality to the grapes. The vines, some decades old, are cultivated with care, promoting slow and even ripening. This exceptional terroir is the result of an ideal microclimate, where warm days and cool nights allow the grapes to develop a beautiful aromatic complexity.
The team's opinion
A masterpiece from Piedmont, the 2017 Barolo Mosconi is an ode to the richness and depth of Italian terroirs.
