Vietti's vineyards stretch across the hills of Castiglione Falletto, where the clay-limestone soils allow for optimal drainage and ideal grape ripening. The Nebbiolo vines, planted on well-exposed slopes, benefit from a favorable microclimate, with sunny days and cool nights. This harmony between soil and climate is essential for producing wines of such complexity and finesse. The harvest is carried out by hand, ensuring rigorous grape selection.

Owner and history

Today, the estate is run by the Vietti family, who perpetuate tradition while adding a touch of innovation. The current owners, Luca and Elena Vietti, are passionate about their terroir and committed to preserving the family heritage. They have modernized the estate while respecting the artisanal methods that have made it famous. Their vision is clear: to produce wines that tell the story of Piedmont and reflect its identity, blending tradition and modernity.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for the 2018 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is meticulous. After traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged in oak barrels for approximately 24 months, allowing for the harmonious integration of tannins and the development of aromas. This oak aging imparts subtle nuances of vanilla and spice, while respecting the authenticity of the terroir. Each stage of the winemaking process is carried out with care, reflecting the estate's commitment to producing exceptional wines that are true to their origin.
