Producer

The Château Figeac vineyard stretches across clay-limestone soils, promoting excellent drainage and optimal grape ripening. The vines, some several decades old, are cultivated with meticulous care, allowing the full richness of the Saint-Émilion terroir to be expressed. Biodiversity is preserved around the plots, contributing to the natural balance of the vineyard ecosystem. Each vine is treated individually, guaranteeing a high-quality harvest.

Owner and history

Currently, Château Figeac is managed by the Manoncourt family, who have preserved its heritage while modernizing the estate. Their passion for wine and respect for the terroir are at the heart of their approach. They are committed to producing exceptional wines that tell the story of their land. Thanks to their vision, Figeac continues to shine on the world wine stage, attracting enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Figeac is designed to respect the fruit. The grapes are harvested by hand, allowing for rigorous selection. After gentle destemming, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled vats, promoting a gentle extraction of tannins. Aging takes place in oak barrels, some of which are new, to refine the wine while preserving its character. This method results in a harmonious balance between power and elegance.
