A prestigious and sought-after vintage, La Viallière satisfies even the most discerning Syrah lovers. What an achievement!
" The complex nose combines white peach and kirsch with aromas of undergrowth, fern, and violet. A flavorful, spice-rich fruit character dominates the palate, which is full-bodied and fleshy, perfectly supported by oak aging and fine, integrated tannins. Elegant bitterness punctuates the finish, adding a touch of freshness to this powerful red, which shows great promise. " Hachette Wine Guide 2024

***
By acquiring this estate in 2006, founded in 1961 and expanded and modernized in the 1990s, Marcel Guigal added a jewel to his crown: a 12ha vineyard planted mainly with "serine", an old variety of syrah, which produces an admirable Côte-Rôtie.
