Owner and history

In the heart of the Pauillac appellation, Château Pontet Canet is a neighbor of Château Mouton Rothschild and Château d'Armailhac. It covers 81 hectares, certified organic and biodynamic, and its vines are on average 40 to 45 years old. The vineyard is managed plot by plot with the most natural approach possible. The managers are indeed keen to reconnect with the originality of the terroir. The gravelly Garonne ridge on a limestone base offers beautiful assets that are reflected in the wine.

Vinification and aging

- Hand-harvested grapes
- Fermentation: 2 to 3 weeks
- According to tasting, the wine matures for 16 to 20 months in oak barrels, some of which are new (50 to 60% depending on the year)
