The Côte-Rôtie vineyards stretch across steep slopes overlooking the Rhône, with schist and mica schist soils that impart minerality and finesse to the wines. Guigal's meticulously tended vines often reach an advanced age, resulting in low yields but exceptional concentration. The parcels of La Mouline, La Landonne, and La Turque constitute unique terroirs, where exposure and soil composition give each cuvée its own distinct identity, brought together in this exceptional trilogy.

Owner and history

Today, the estate is managed by Marcel Guigal, along with his son Philippe and his wife Eve, ensuring the family legacy continues. Their vision combines respect for tradition with a constant pursuit of perfection. Their commitment to sustainable viticulture, their meticulous attention to detail in winemaking, and their dedication to continually elevate the excellence of their wines make Guigal an emblem of the Rhône. The 2019 Trilogy embodies this unique expertise and their relentless quest for greatness.

Vinification and aging

At Guigal, winemaking relies on meticulous selection and precise expertise, favoring long fermentation and constant monitoring of each vat. Aging, a true hallmark of the house, takes place entirely in new oak barrels for over 40 months, guaranteeing exceptional aromatic complexity and aging potential.
The 2019 Trilogy thus benefits from identical aging but reveals the singular expression of each of the plots: floral finesse and velvety texture of La Mouline, power and structure of La Landonne, richness and intensity of La Turque.
