93-95 points VINOUS " Intense aromas of cherry, blackberry, exotic spices, and cola are complemented by a smoky mineral note and a hint of bacon fat. It offers concentrated flavors of red and black fruit jam and licorice lozenge, along with a spicy touch of black pepper. The finish is long and spicy, with chewy tannins and a floral note. "
Côte Bodin is a small lieu-dit of 0.7ha benefiting from a full south exposure, where the vines were planted in 1987. It is one of the most renowned parcels of Côte-Rôtie, where the granitic and schist soils, combined with steep slopes, give the Syrah a great finesse and a unique minerality.
2600 bottles produced in this vintage. Aged in oak barrels for 18 months, of which approximately 20% were new oak.
