    The brilliant ruby ​​robe of La Paterne 2022 reveals an expressive nose of ripe red fruits, underscored by spicy and floral notes.     Antoine Sanzay, a passionate self-taught winemaker, took over the family estate in 1999 and transformed it into a benchmark for quality in Saumur-Champigny. Committed to organic practices since 2014, he expresses the pure identity of Cabernet Franc in each of his wines. His vision: to produce vibrant, precise wines that respect their terroir. Thanks to his meticulous work, he has earned the recognition of critics and lovers of fine Loire wines.

    Vinification and aging

    Antoine Sanzay favours a gentle winemaking process, with spontaneous fermentations and delicate extraction to reveal the finesse of the fruit.
    The 2022 La Paterne vintage is aged for 12 months in demi-muids, which gives the wine structure and complexity without masking the purity of the grape variety. Aging on fine lees refines the texture on the palate and gives the wine its beautiful density.
