    Owner and history

The Château Mouton Rothschild vineyard covers 84 hectares in the Pauillac appellation. Its soil is composed of gravelly slopes over a marl-limestone subsoil.

    Vinification and aging

The grapes were harvested by hand before being traditionally vinified in a vat for 15 to 21 days. The wine was then aged in barrels, 70% of which were new, for 12 to 15 months.
