Owner and history

Neighboring Château Latour and facing Pichon Comtesse, Château Pichon Longueville Baron enjoys a south-facing exposure. The yield is 32 hectoliters per hectare for its 73-hectare vineyard. The average age of the vines is 30 years. The soil is gravelly.

Vinification and aging

The grapes are harvested by hand, sorted in the vineyard and then placed on a double sorting table. Fermentation lasts one month. Aging takes place in barrels for 18 to 20 months.
