    Owner and history

Located in the heart of the Médoc region of Bordeaux, the Pauillac appellation is renowned for having some of the best soils for viticulture. The gravelly soil, low in nutrients and without excess water, nourishes all the vines, however varied they may be. The dominant grape variety in the vineyard is Cabernet Sauvignon at 65%, followed by Merlot at 30%, Cabernet Franc at 3%, and Petit Verdot at 2%. It is this diversity, combined with the incredible work of the Pichon Baron team, that allows for the production of Grands Crus Classés.
