Owner and history

Neighboring Château Latour and facing Pichon Comtesse, the vineyard faces due south. The yield is 32 hectoliters per hectare for a vineyard covering 73 hectares. The average age of the vines is 30 years, growing in gravelly soil. The production of Château Pichon Baron represents 50% of the vineyard's 73 hectares.

Vinification and aging

- Hand-harvested from September 18th to 21st, 2017 for the Merlot grapes and from September 27th to October 3rd for the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes
- Sorting on a stand then double sorting table
- Fermentation for 16 to 24 days
- Aged for 18 months in 80% new oak barrels
